The disease diagnosis laboratory was set up and with most sophisticared to help farmer to achieve of improved production at a lower cost through effective and efficient disease diagnosis, prevention and control.

(A) DIAGNOSIS LABORATORY(Poultry lab, Aquaculture lab and P.C.R lab)

Equipped with a Microbiology unit manned by dedicated microbiolgist, Serology and post mortem handled by well trained Veterinary Clinicians. we carry out the following:

  • Post-mortem examination of fresh poultry and fish carcasses.
  • Isolation and Identification of poultry and fish pathogens.
  • Antibiotics sensitivity tests.
  • Disinfectant efficacy and M.I.C for antibiotics.
  • Microbial analysis of feed and feed raw materials.
  • Microbial analysis of water for fish and poultry
  • Chemical analysis of water for fish and poultry (PH,hardness,Fe2+,NH3,NO2- etc).

Other Services
  • Advising on the use of the most effective medicaments for treating specific infections.
  • Design of Hatchery, feedmill houses, fish tanks and farm disinfection programmes.

(B) PROXIMATE ANALYSIS LABORATORY
It was set up primarily to monitor the quality of raw materials purchased and finished feeds produced. It is the first indigenous private laboratory dedicated to agro-analysis services.

WHAT IS OUR WORK?
The lab is concerned with the analysis of agro-raw materials, finished feed/foods, oil, minerals (limestone), synthetic amino acids, water etc using the official standard method of analysis. The AOAC, ISO, USDA, AOCS methods of analysis which may include kejeldhal, titrimetric, volumetric calculations, polarimetric and spectroscopic. We serve Animal Care as a company and external clients (that is poultry and aquaculture farmers, feed millers, importers, exporters, manufacturing companies, research students and crop farmers). Our technical services are superb, direct and at a very competitive rate.

LABORATORY TECHNIQUES
The lab techniques used for analysis are: Elemental analysis, Spectroscopy, Polarimetry microscopy, Physical property testing, Thermal analysis, Calorimetry, Bioanalytical analysis and Separation etc.
